Best Earplugs for Music Festivals

Looking for the best earplugs for your next music festival or concert? You’ve come to the right place.

Below are some choices for both custom and non-custom earplugs. Most are pretty discrete (unless you choose glitter bright colors) and come with a carrying case.

Custom Earplugs

Custom earplugs will cost you a lot more, but since they are made from your ear impressions, they will always be a perfect fit. This means wearing them all day with no pain and also no fear of them falling out when you’re dancing along to your favorite band or artist.

ACS Custom PRO17

ACS Custom makes custom earplugs for musicians and concertgoers. So how does this work? If you live close to one of their locations (Los Angeles, CA, New York City, NY, or Millbrae, CA), you can go in for a complimentary appointment to get your ear impressions for your custom earplugs. If you don’t live near one of those cities, you will need to make an appointment with a local audiologist and then submit your impressions to ACS Custom.

The ACS PRO17 is a good model that won’t affect the quality of the music and sounds you hear. It comes with a case, cream, and wax pick. You can choose from 32 different colors (some at an additional charge). These earplugs will set you back a bit a starting cost of $185, but they are customized to your ears and should be very comfortable so that you don’t even feel you are wearing them. You can also buy additional filters for them to swap them out if needed.

Non-Custom Earplugs

Non-custom earplugs are much cheaper (the below are all under $40 each). They may not be as comfortable as custom ones, but because they are cheap, they are easy to replace in case you lose one or break one.

Etymotic Research ER20XS High-Fidelity Earplugs

If you are looking for a more affordable set of earplugs, the Etymotic Research ER20XS may be for you.

The ER20XS lowers sound levels by 20 dBs. These come with a case and cord. They are fairly discrete and come in 3 different fit sizes (standard, large, and universal). The universal comes with both the standard, large and foam ear tips.

Eargasm High Fidelity Blue Earplugs

The Eargasm High Fidelity Blues comes with both the standard and large size as well as a carrying case at an affordable cost. These boast up to a 21 dB drop in noise levels and are made from a hypoallergic soft silicone.

If you have smaller ears, Eargasm also makes what they call Smaller Ears Earplugs.

Earasers Hi-Fi Earplugs

A third non-custom option are Earasers Hi-Fi Earplugs.

You can choose from 4 different sizes for these earplugs – X-Small, Small, Medium, and Large. They come with a carrying case and reduce noise by 19 dB. They feature stems to help pull them out once they’re secure in your ears.
